Applying as a Partner Family: What is a "Partner Family"?

A Partner Family is one who has been selected to participate in a home building partnership with Habitat for Humanity of Steele-Waseca Area and the hundreds of volunteers who will assist in helping to build a family's home. Partner Families have required responsibilities including homeowner education, financial education, and active involvement in construction.

Applying family

Families have a duty and expectation to fully participate in every phase of the home building process. They are expected to be an ambassador for the mission and ministry of the affiliate, and willing to readily share with others the blessing they have received and spread the word about the role and benefits the ministry has brought to their family.

How are Partner Families selected?

You will also be required to perform 350 hours or more of "sweat equity" in helping to build your own home, and the homes of others.
